Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Industries and the second richest Indian, is all set to bring a ‘Jio moment’ for AI in India soon.
Ambani is positioning Reliance Jio as an AI-first company with the launch of Jio Brain, a new AI platform built to accelerate AI adoption across Reliance’s various companies. He has also announced plans to develop a national AI infrastructure to make AI services accessible and secure throughout India.
Not only that, Jio recently launched Jio AI Cloud, offering free cloud storage up to 100 GB to compete with Google Cloud and provide affordable AI services. Reliance has partnered with NVIDIA to develop state-of-the-art AI computing infrastructure and is collaborating with IIT to create Bharat GPT, a ChatGPT-like model for Indian languages.
