California-headquartered AI-powered Analytics company ThoughtSpot has acquired all employees of Bangalore-based analytics and consulting services company SagasIT Analytics. Data solutions specialists, who were acquired from SagasIT, will become a part of the India Customer Center of Excellence (CCOE) to support ThoughtSpot’s “global go-to-market team.” They will assist with customer outcomes through implementation, adoption, response management and also provide account management and customer success for their global accounts.
With the India expansion, ThoughtSpot’s CCOE will help dive deeper into customer challenges pertaining to technology, data, process, people and culture. SagasIT Analytics specializes in data visualization, data engineering, and data science. They have serviced over 2000 global customers including Unilever, Mercedes-Benz, GE Healthcare, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Stanford University, and Best Western to help equip them to deliver CCOE’s mission.
India Presence
The India CCOE announcement comes as a part of ThoughtSpot’s $150 million investment in India operations. The company has promised to distribute the investment between 2022 and 2027, with 30% headcount growth. The company opened its third R&D center in Trivandrum, in September 2022, making it the third one after Bangalore and Hyderabad.
The R&D units have been instrumental in delivering innovation which has led to a business impact of 100% SaaS ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue) year-on-year. With investment in India CCOE, the company is expected to drive further growth as the regional teams will now expand beyond R&D to even advisory roles to work with customers.
Sumeet Arora, Chief Development Officer of ThoughtSpot believes that they are building an innovation factory that will deliver transformation technology with each release. “We’re investing in being a strategic partner in helping our customers not only leverage new technologies, but turn them into business strategy and realise real business outcomes,” he said.
Harshawardhan Joshi, Founder and CEO of SagasIT Analytics, said that they share a similar mission with ThoughtSpot in “empowering the human mind to ask questions and make data informed decisions.” He considers it a “natural fit” to join the ThoughtSpot team in combining their shared vision.
